Board of Directors

Peter Chin

Chairman

Peter Chin holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from George Washington University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. As a Non-Executive Director of AMG, Peter brings to the Board his financial services and management experience for our strategic direction and corporate governance. He is also Chairman of the Compensation Committee of AMG.

Additionally, Peter is President of Alliance Investment Management Limited and is Chairman of DPK Information Systems. He has served as General Manager of Issa Trust and Merchant Bank Limited, held senior finance positions with GraceKennedy Ltd and IBM World Trade Corp., and is Past President of the Jamaica Securities Dealers Association.

Michael Fraser

Non-Executive Director and Mentor

Michael Fraser is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Justice of the Peace of the Island, and an active alumnus of Jamaica College. As a Non -Executive Director and Mentor of AMG, Michael is responsible for ensuring that AMG has adequate procedures, systems and controls for financial reporting, as well as compliance with Junior Market Rules and general corporate governance. He also acts as a member of both the Compensation Committee and the Audit Committee of the Board.

Additionally, Michael is the President & CEO of Sagicor Life of the Cayman Islands Limited, a subsidiary of Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited, and a Director of Sagicor Life Insurance Brokers Limited. He is a former Director of Lascelles de Mercado Limited. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Island Life Insurance Company Limited, Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited, and Past President of the Life Underwriters Association of Jamaica.

Metry Seaga

Non-Executive Director

Metry Seaga is the first President of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA), elected unopposed on June 29, 2018.

Prior to the formation of the merged Association, JMEA, Mr. Seaga was the President of the Jamaica Manufacturers’ Association (JMA) since 2015 andserved on the JMA’s Board of Directors since 2008.Hehelped shape and implement many of the organization’s initiatives,fearlessly tackling issues impeding the industry, and promoting the manufacturing sector as the engine of economic growth. Though there have been many accomplishments since Mr. Seaga took the reigns in 2015, the most noteworthy was the launch of the biennial Jamaica International Exhibition (JIE) tradeshow, a first in terms of its size and magnitude, held in June 2017.

Mr. Seaga has been an entrepreneur for over thirty (30) years. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business at the Florida International University (FIU) in 1984, he returned to Jamaica where he started a Rent-A-Car business, a Travel Agency, entered into motor vehicle sales and finally established a manufacturing business. Having been a manufacturer from the age of 16, Mr. Seaga is today the Managing Director of Jamaica Fibreglass Products Ltd., a contract fabricating company.

Today, in addition to being head of the JMEA, he is the Vice Chairman of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), Chairman of the Jamaica Special Economic Zone Authority (JSEZA) and was the youngest elected President of the Jamaica U-Drive Association.

In his spare time, he takes pleasure intravelling and playing golf.

Antonia Hugh

Non-Executive Director

Antonia Hugh is a Director of Rayton Group and is in the business over 20 years. He also serves as a Consultant of Dollars to Dollars Limited. He is an art collector and a keen golf player.

Bevon Francis

Non-Executive Director

Bevon Francis has held senior Management Positions over time in a number of manufacturing companies in Jamaica. He brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge and experience in business.

Duke Holness

Non-Executive Director

Duke Holness holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a BSc Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. Duke brings to the Board extensive experience gained from successful tenures of employment in senior leadership positions with a number of multinational companies – most notably – GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals where he was the Vice President and Regional General Manager for the Central America, Caribbean, Peruvian and Ecuadorean Markets. Duke is a board member of the National Health Fund (NHF) and is a Chairman of the Medical and Research sub-committee of the board.

Michelle Chin

Non-Executive Director

Michelle Chin is a Jamaican businesswoman who has contributed to many local ventures and philanthropic causes. As a Non-Executive Director of AMG, Michelle brings to the Board over 20 years managerial experience for our strategic direction and corporate governance.

Additionally, Michelle is the Managing Director of Island Concrete Company Limited and serves as Director of Post to Post Betting Limited and Islandwide Construction Limited.

George Hugh

Managing Director

George Hugh was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Jamaica in the 1970’s. After surveying the local market, George saw the need for a packaging company that offered services to commercial customers and partnered with Antonia Hugh and Mark Chin to form AMG. A founding shareholder in 2005, he joined the Board in 2006 and became Managing Director in 2009. As Managing Director of AMG, George is responsible for our strategic direction and for overseeing day to day operations, with support from our senior management team. He is committed to the expansion of the product range and production capacity of AMG.

Additionally, George is Managing Director of Rayton Electric Commercial Equipment Limited and Director of Island Concrete Company Limited. Together with his family members, George has taken stakes in many local businesses over the years, including Jade Garden Restaurant, Dominos Pizza, and Homelectrix.

Michael Chin

General Manager

Michael Chin holds a BSc. Degree in Business Management from Lynn University and has over 20 years management experience. As General Manager of AMG, he is responsible for supporting George Hugh (Managing Director) in our day to day operations. Michael joined AMG in 2009 and his leadership was instrumental in the winning of a “Bold Ones” award from AMG’s client National, the Continental Baking Company, which is given to outstanding local manufacturers.

Additionally, Michael acted as Operations Manager at Markham Betting Company for over six years, where he was responsible for leading an initiative to computerize the business’s operations, amongst other things. He has also worked in management at Home Choice Rentals of South Florida.

Leslie McPherson

Accounting Manager

Leslie McPherson has more than 20 years experience in accounting and audit. As the Accounting Manager, he is charged with managing our Finance and Accounting functions. He has been with AMG since our inception.

Leslie is a certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Jamaica (CAJ).

Sheldon Taylor

Quality Assurance Manager

Sheldon Taylor joined the AMG family in 2013. As Quality Assurance Manager, Sheldon is responsible for developing and overseeing compliance of our Quality Management System, being a liaison with stakeholders, monitoring, checking and conducting evaluations to ensure that full compliance is met based on customers’ requirements. He maintains and manages our Quality Policy, standards, procedures, programs and practices, while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.

Additionally, Sheldon is filled with knowledge and experience having worked in the corrugated box business for seven years as a Senior Numerical Controller (Corrugation) and Custom Packaging Designer.
